MSOT 613 - Occupational Therapy Practice with Adults and Older Adults Laboratory

This laboratory course complements the didactic component by providing structured, hands-on opportunities to practice and apply course concepts. Students will engage in practical exercises, skills worksheets, demonstrations, and hands-on activities designed to reinforce understanding of neurological, musculoskeletal, and related conditions in adults and older adults. Laboratory sessions are conducted in smaller class sections to allow for individualized feedback, closer instructor supervision, and enhanced peer collaboration. Through guided and repeated practice, instructor feedback, and reflective discussion, students will develop proficiency with assessment tools, observation techniques, and therapeutic skills while strengthening clinical reasoning and professional confidence in a controlled learning environment.
Prerequisite(s): MSOT 512, MSOT 601, MSOT 603, MSOT 604, and MSOT 608. Corequisite(s): MSOT 610 and MSOT 611.
