US 150 First Year Success Seminar


All incoming new students will be registered for US 150 - First Year Success Seminar  during the first semester of the first year.  The credit earned for this course does not count toward the completion of the degree.

Note(s):


1 A total of 32 credits of applied voice lessons is required for a bachelor’s degree in voice.

2Enrollment dependent on placement exam. If TH 110  is taken in the first year, the math elective is taken in the second semester, fourth year.

3Students must take 3 credits each of French, Italian, and German. Permission to substitute another language may be granted only by the voice department chair or vocal division director.

4Students may choose HLM 200  or HLM 316 .

5Must be taken concurrently with private vocal study.

6At least one opera performance must be a mainstage.

Voice majors are required to earn a B- or higher in all applied lessons.
