DPT 635 - Integrated Experience II 1 credit(s) A continuation of PT 625, this course provides physical therapy students with practical application of principles and techniques learned during the academic portion of the semester, as well as a greater appreciation for the field of physical therapy. Students participate in a weekly halfday observation at a selected acute, subacute, or outpatient site in the Greater Hartford community, including University Physical Therapy, LLC. Using the skills developed in the curriculum and previous clinical experiences, students expand their ability to evaluate, diagnose, and provide intervention for a wide variety of patients/ clients in physical therapy. Students broaden their clinical decision-making, reasoning, judgment, and reflective clinical practice skills, and are expected to demonstrate professional behaviors in all interactions with patients, clients, families, caregivers, and other health professionals. Prerequisite(s): DPT 625 and PT major.
