CON 653 - Workshop in Orchestral Conducting: Concerto-Aria


2 credit(s)
A course that addresses specific technical skills necessary to conduct effectively as an instrumental and vocal accompanist, including problems of recitative and opera conducting. Under close supervision, students prepare and conduct appropriate excerpts from the mainstream orchestral and operatic literature. Students work with a piano and string quintet.
Prerequisite(s): Permission of instructor.
