ARC 555 - Writing About Architecture

Area/Group Designation: The purpose of this course is to introduce students to a way of thinking about and communicating about architecture that is usually not stressed in their education: the written word. This course introduces students to the mechanics and conventions of writing about architecture, the methods of communicating architectural ideas, and helps them to develop and clarify an architectural point of view. In addition, students exmaine how architecture is presented in newspapers, magazines, professional journals, and online. Cannot be taken if AET 455 was previously completed.

Prerequisite(s): Graduate standing in architecture.
