EDD 836 - Student Affairs Administration 3 credit(s) This course focuses on the comprehensive nature of student affairs as a vital component in the evolving learner centered environments of higher education. This course also focuses on the administrative and student affairs functions in higher education. Academic and student affairs professionals must possess a clear understanding of the developmental processes that students encounter throughout their lifetime. Students enrolled in this course explore student development theories and their application to student learning and growth in the college environment. Participants in this course also explores broad concepts related to student affairs including student development, student services and enrollment management as vital administrative functions within the institution, as well as the political and decision-making contexts of student affairs and the centrality of students to the mission of student affairs. Prerequisite(s): EDD 822 and EDD 823 .
