AFR 225 - Jazz Theory II


2 credit(s)
This is a course on the study of voicing styles, which include three-part accompaniment and four-part block chord style. Standard songs are analyzed as models of melodic and harmonic form, as well as for the study of reharmonization. Facility with these elements will be developed through in-class drills and writing assignments. Two hours weekly.
Prerequisite(s): AFR 224  or permission of instructor.
