ES 216 - Engineering Mechanics

Engineering applications of Newtonian mechanics to the statics and dynamics of particles and rigid bodies. Vector algebra, addition and resolution of forces, moment of force, equilibrium of particles and rigid bodies, friction, kinematics and kinetics of particles, kinematics and kinetics of rigid bodies, work-energy methods, impulse-momentum methods. Required for electrical engineering and computer engineering students.
Prerequisite(s): M 145  and PHY 112 .
