ES 320 - Thermal-Fluids Engineering

A unified treatment of the thermodynamics and dynamics of fluid flow. Thermodynamic systems, work and heat, properties of a pure substance,first- and second-law analysis of closed systems, integral equations of motion and control volume analysis, laminar and turbulent flow through pipes, pipe systems, the boundary layer, drag force on immersed bodies.
Prerequisite(s): M 240 , PHY 113 , and ES 110 .
