ANI 400 - Animation Project Studio

Choosing from skills learned in Drawing for Animation, 3-D illustration and 3-D Animation, students will create and produce a short animation demo reel. Animations may be 2-D rendered, 3-D rendered, stop motion, or an exploration of other techniques and materials granted upon approval of instructor. The Project will concentrate on interaction of characters, flow of narrative elements, and proficiency of animation. Model sheets and storyboards will aid in initial stages of development. Adjustments, soundtracks and special effects will be made in class using digital programs. The Demo reel shows the final animation, as well as the initial concept of the characters and the final design in the chosen medium.
Prerequisite(s): ANI 340  or permission of instructor.
Laboratory fee.
