IMA 310 - Programming for Artists


3 credit(s)
This studio course introduces students to the use of computer programming as an artistic practice. Students learn computer software/hardware development techniques that function as, or support visual art projects. In addition, students study and discuss current trends in artistic discourse surrounding art and technology. The course lays the groundwork for the Computing Arts track in the Integrated Media Arts major and is a continuation of programming practice introduced in IMA 210 .
Prerequisite(s): ANI 230 , IMA 210 , and IMA 220 ; or permission of instructor.
Laboratory fee.
