PSY 367 - Theories of Psychotherapy


3 credit(s)
An integration of major theories of personality with the major forms of psychotherapeutic intervention. Psychoanalytic, existential, Rogerian, Gestalt, behavioral, and family systems approaches are defined and compared with one another. The empirical significance and philosophical assumptions of each approach and personality theory are explored.
Prerequisite(s): One 200-level PSY course.
