BE 402 - Biomaterials

The study of materials and their use in medical implants, including metal, ceramics, polymers, composites, and biological biomaterials. Focus will also include material properties and their interactions with the body. The course will also investigate the emerging field of tissue engineering and the ethical decisions engineers face.
Prerequisite(s): BIO 213 , ES 212 , BE 260W , or instructor permission.
