MPT 431 - Audio Post Production For Film & TV 3 credit(s) This course provides an overview of the workflow and specialized skills utilized by audio professionals working in the
various areas of Audio Post Production for Film and TV. Topics covered include location recording, dialog editing/ADR,
sound effects creation and editing, foley, music scoring, broadcast standards and mix requirements for TV and feature
film formats. Throughout the course, students learn the philosophical concepts of designing sound elements for
picture and apply these concepts in assigned research, analysis, small projects, and the completion of a large-scale
final project. Students also engage in collaboration with the COM 468 - Scoring for Film, TV, and Video course whereby original scores written by composition students in both the Jazz and Orchestral idiom are recorded and mixed. Prerequisite(s): MPT 210 . Laboratory fee.
