SCL 330 - Installation Art

This course focuses on the nature of Installation Art in practice and introduces principle theory. Historical development, rationale, and processes are addressed. What is installation art? Is there any difference between traditional sculpture and installation art? Why has installation art become the mainstream art form in this century? Is installation a medium? What is site-specific art? We will explore these questions through workshops, exercises, lectures, discussions, and assignments.
Prerequisite(s): SCL 220  or SCL 230 .
